The fluid loss additive CG117S, which is suitable for seawater cement slurry system, has a polydisperse star-shaped structure and can effectively overcome the gelation and thixotropy problems caused by seawater slurry preparation, ensuring that the slurry has good fluidity and pumpability.
Difficulties
A Southeast Asian customer required a polymer fluid loss additive that can be used for seawater slurry. The water-cement ratio of the cement slurry system is as high as 1.13, the thickening curve is bulging, and the thickening time is too long. The mixing water is seawater, and the general type of fluid loss additive has poor applicability, resulting in the inability to mix the slurry with cement, and even difficult to pump. Adding dispersant cannot achieve the ideal effect.
Features of CG117L fluid loss additive for improving the fluidity of seawater cement slurry
According to relevant technical requirements, starting from the polymer molecular structure, the natural macromolecular grafted monomer polymerization method is used to achieve the polydispersity of the polymer fluid loss additives. Different from the linear structure of conventional polymers, the grafted polymer has a polydisperse star structure, which effectively overcomes the gelation and thixotropy problems caused by seawater slurry, and ensures that the slurry has good fluidity and pumpability.
